Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of this website (fieldgateflowers.co.uk), our products, services, courses and any enquiry you make with us. By using the site you agree to them. Please read carefully and keep a copy for your records.
1. Who we are
This site is owned and operated by Rosalind Chandler, trading as Field Gate Flowers, a sole-trader business based at Lathbury, Newport Pagnell, Buckinghamshire MK16. Education and courses trade under the brand The Cut Flower Collective.
2. Ordering flowers
Orders are confirmed once you have paid through our external checkout partner (Kartra or Stripe). We reserve the right to decline or cancel any order, for example if an item is unavailable due to seasonal supply, or if a delivery address is outside the area we serve.
All flower orders are subject to seasonal availability. Where a specific variety is unavailable, we substitute it with a like-for-like bloom of equivalent value and comparable palette. We will always tell you in advance if a substitution materially changes what you have booked.
3. Payment & pricing
Prices are displayed in Pounds Sterling (GBP) and include VAT where applicable. We reserve the right to correct pricing errors before your order is dispatched or your course access issued, in which case we will offer you the option to proceed at the correct price or receive a full refund.
Payment is taken at the point of order via our secure checkout partners. We never see or store your full card details.
4. Delivery, collection & refunds on flowers
Free local delivery is available within five miles of the farm in Lathbury. Deliveries outside that area are priced individually and confirmed at checkout.
Collections are from Field Gate Flowers, Lathbury, Newport Pagnell. Please arrange a collection time with us in advance.
Because fresh flowers are a perishable good exempted under UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, we cannot offer a cooling-off refund once an order has been dispatched. If your flowers arrive damaged or in poor condition, please contact us with a photograph within 24 hours of receipt and we will put it right.
5. Wedding & event bookings
Wedding and event bookings are secured with a 25% non-refundable deposit. The balance is due eight weeks before the wedding date.
If you cancel within eight weeks of the wedding, the balance is non-refundable; we will have already purchased seed, bulbs and planned field crops specifically for your day.
Full, individual wedding terms (including force-majeure and date-change provisions) are provided as part of your booking contract and take precedence over anything here where the two differ.
6. Courses, memberships & digital content
Course and membership fees are non-refundable once login details or digital content have been issued to you. This is in line with the digital-content exception under UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, where you have already accessed the material.
Waitlist deposits for live courses are fully refundable up to 14 days before the course start date, or transferable to the next cohort on request.
All course materials, videos, worksheets and community posts are for your personal use only. They may not be copied, resold, or redistributed. You may not share your account login with anyone else. Breach of this clause may result in immediate termination of access without refund.
7. The Flower Bank
Credits purchased as part of the Flower Bank are valid for the season in which they were purchased (April to end October), plus a carry-over of up to three months into the following season on request. Unused credits expire after that and no cash refund is offered.
The Flower Bank is a pre-paid commitment, not a subscription; we do not take further payments until you top up again.
8. Podcast, blog & editorial content
Articles, podcast episodes, photos, illustrations and videos on this site are original works owned by Field Gate Flowers unless otherwise credited. You may share individual links freely; you may not reproduce or republish content without our written permission.
9. User conduct
When using this site, our “Ask Roz” widget, comment forms or any community feature, you agree not to post content that is unlawful, abusive, hateful, defamatory, infringes anyone’s intellectual property, or attempts to harm the technical operation of the site. We reserve the right to remove any such content and, if necessary, report it to the relevant authority.
10. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, our total liability under any single order or booking is limited to the price paid for that order or booking.
We do not accept responsibility for delays or issues caused by matters outside our reasonable control, including extreme weather, crop failure, road closures, postal disruption or supplier failure.
11. Governing law & jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute will be dealt with exclusively by the courts of England and Wales.
