Cookie Policy

Last updated: April 2026

A plain-English list of every cookie this site can set, what each one does, and exactly how you control it. No trackers fire until you’ve said yes. You can change your mind any time from the footer link.

Essential cookies (always on)

• fgf-cookie-consent — records your choice of banner options, so we don’t ask on every page.

• session / CSRF cookies — keep you logged in and prevent cross-site attacks during checkout.

These are strictly necessary for the site to work and cannot be switched off.

Analytics cookies (optional)

If you accept the “Analytics” toggle we will, in future, load privacy-respecting, aggregated analytics so we can see which pages readers find most useful. No advertising profile is built from this data, and no personal identifier is captured.

As of this revision the site has no analytics tool installed; when one is added it will be listed here and will respect your choice.

Marketing cookies (optional)

If you accept the “Marketing” toggle, embedded players and social widgets may set their own cookies. Specifically:

• Buzzsprout — the podcast player on /podcast and the homepage. Sets cookies to remember playback position and measure aggregate listener numbers.

• ListenNotes — the back-catalogue player on /podcast. Similar purpose.

• Embedded social content (Instagram, YouTube) on individual blog posts or the homepage social feed.

Each of these providers publishes its own cookie and privacy policy on its website.

Third-party payment & booking cookies

When you click an “Order” or “Enrol” button you leave our site for Kartra, Stripe, Amazon, or another external provider. Those platforms operate under their own cookie and privacy terms, which we encourage you to read. We only receive confirmation data back from them, not cookies.

Changing your mind

Use the “Cookie settings” link in the footer at any time to reset your choice and reopen the banner. Clearing your browser’s cookies for this site also has the same effect.
